Privacy Policy
This policy describes how the HTML to Figma Capture browser extension (“the Extension”) handles information when you use it. We designed capture to run on your machine. We do not sell browsing data.
What the Extension does
The Extension captures the visual structure of the webpage in your active browser tab (layout, text, styles, and image URLs) so you can preview breakpoints and copy editable frames into Figma.
Data we access
- Page content in the active tab — DOM, computed styles, and image URLs needed to rebuild the design. This is read only while you start a capture.
- Tab metadata — title and URL of the page you capture, stored with the capture for labeling.
- Debugger attachment (temporary) — used only during capture to emulate desktop / tablet / mobile widths without resizing your window. It is detached when capture finishes.
- Local preferences — license status, capture usage counters, and last capture data via Chrome storage on your device.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not run ads in the Extension.
- We do not continuously monitor browsing history.
- We do not upload captured page HTML to our servers unless you later opt into a cloud feature that you explicitly enable (none are enabled by default in the current version).
Where data is stored
Captures and license state are stored locally with Chrome’s extension storage APIs on your device. Clipboard export to Figma is initiated by you and uses your system clipboard.
Payments and Pro licenses
If you purchase Pro, payment is processed by a third-party checkout provider (for example Stripe). We receive confirmation that a license is valid; we do not store full card numbers in the Extension. License keys you activate are saved in Chrome storage on your device.
Permissions explained
debugger— emulate device widths during capture only.scripting/tabs/activeTab— inject the capture script into the page you choose.sidePanel— show the capture UI.storage— remember last capture, usage limits, and Pro status.host_permissions (<all_urls>)— allow capture on the http(s) site you have open.
Children
The Extension is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
